 The
February W.I. meeting celebrated Burgh’s first 80th birthday occasion
and the second celebration took place this month with the theme of “All
our Yesteryears”, with many of the members wearing twenties style
outfits.
The Birthday Buffet started the evening followed by musical entertainment by Mr Eric Blacklidge on the keyboard and Julia Alloton, vocalist. A raffle took place during the break with the W.I. monthly announcements of forthcoming events and a Special Souvenir Edition Booklet, diarising events of the last 80years, researched by Sheila Chappel and Leila Ladd and the publishing by , was given out to the members. The musical entertainment resumed in the second half with a rousing singalong.
