| Burgh le Marsh W.I. Summer Outing to Burghley House |
The members of Burgh W.I. enjoyed their summer outing to Stamford and Burghley House and set off on a beautiful sunny day after the heavy rains of the previous few days.
The guide at Burghley House, presented the tour in a friendly, informative and conversational manner which was so easy to follow without an overload of statistics. Every room had the WOW factor with splendid opulence and vast art collections.
Free time in Stamford for lunch and shopping was followed by a visit to nearby Uffington W.I for a wonderful tea; this W.I. is attended by the daughter of Burgh W.I. member, Mrs Gladys Waite, who made all the arrangements with Uffington for Burgh's visit which was a wonderful ending to the day.
