The June Burgh W.I. meeting was conducted by Vice President, Sylvia Blight and Brenda Manning in the absence of President, June Smith and Secretary, Audrey Chatterton who were attending the National Federation W.I. AGM at the International Arena Cardiff. Speaker, Sue Bradley, herself a W.I. member of Cherry Willingham, brought microscopes for Burgh members to examine slides of rhubarb skins and dead skin cells and cleverly demonstrated concepts of science such as Aerodynamics, Water Pressure, DNA, and Balance with simple day to day objects demonstrating “Science Is Fun”
