Pamela
Vessey, June Smith, Phyllis Hezzell and Sylvia Blight enjoyed a wonderful
evening at Franklin Hall Spilsby at the Marshwold Group's annual Autumn
Meeting; The Louth Male Voice Choir provided first class entertainment
opening the gala evening with the W.I. anthem, “ Jerusalem ,” with
audience participation.
Their
repertoire was very extensive including favourites of Queen's “Bohemian
Rhapsody,” “What Shall We Do Will The Drunken Sailor,” “When I Fall
in Love”, “Softly,” “Going Home” (Hovis song) “Land Of Hope and Glory”,
to mention a few, as well as a quartet, and ventriloquist performing
an hilarious adaptation of Gilbert & Sullivan's “I Have A Little
List” from The Mikado, and who also performed brilliantly with a percussion
of a saucepans and wooden spoon version of “Put It In Your Family
Album”.
The
evening concluded as poignantly as it had opened with the hymn “The
Day Thou Gavest Lord Hast Ended."
