   At the Town Council meeting in Burgh le Marsh 

on Friday 26th May 2006

   Cllr Cecil Smith

was elected as mayor and chairman of the council.

    The new mayoral ceremony was performed by the

outgoing mayor, Cllr Alan Middleton,

who was given a vote of thanks
    for his term of office by Cllr John Panton.
