Recently appointed Town Clerk; residing in Burgh for over four years and active in the Baptist Church as a youth leader and lay preacher.

 

 

 

 

MAYOR

Cllr John Clarke

a town councillor since 1976 and has previously been mayor 3 times.
Currently Finance Chairman.
Chairman and miller of Burgh Windmill, driver of Burgh Voluntary Car Scheme and neighbourhood watch co-ordinator.

 

Cllr Jim Dodsworth

Deputy mayor

 

has served on Burgh Parish Council since 1979, and at District & Regional level for many years. Jim is a lay minister of the Methodist Church , driver of Burgh Voluntary Car Scheme and has been active in the community in many capacities

 

Cllr Pauline Cooper

a former Mayor of Burgh and is the District Councillor for Croft. She represents the District council on the Health Scrutiny Committee for Lincolnshire and at the PCT boards in addition to Age Concern

 

 

Cllr. Neil Cooper

is a former Mayor of Burgh, having served twice and is a Lincolnshire County Councilor representing the Burgh and Wainfleet ward. He is Chairman of the Highways Policy Development Group, Chairman of the Lincolnshire Rural Transport Partnership, serves on the Planning and Regulation Committee, the Policy and Performance Committee, the Scrutiny Management Committee and the Children's Services Scrutiny Committee. He represents the County Council in London at the Local Government Association in Public Transport, Coastal Issues and the County Councils Network.

He is also an Executive Councilor for East Lindsey District Council and a member of Skegness Town Council.

 

Cllr Alan Middleton

has served on the council for 7years, has been mayor once and chairman of planning twice also a member of the Parochial Parish Council and a govenor for 4 years of The Jane Palmer Foundation Trust.

 

Cllr Barbara Waite

long standing Burgh resident, councillor for 8years. A Red Cross representative and governor on the local senior school now St Clements College for over 20 years.

Cllr Doug Newey,

New to the council this year. Has spent 5 years trying to get the bypass for Burgh and Orby and was a member of the Burgh Action Group. Retired general builder with a lot of restoration experience and has taught building, carpentry and living skills.

 

Cllr. John Panton

 

has been a member of Burgh council for 33years and has held the office of mayor four times.

 

Cllr Cecil Smith:

Has served on Burgh council for 4 years, this last year 06/07as mayor, also serving on the Carnival, History Group, Short Mat Bowls, Twinning committees and also on the committee of the Recreation Centre and Management Committee Building Scheme and a driver for The Burgh Voluntary Car Scheme.

Cllr Paul Sykes.

A happy Burgh resident for 29 years and a Burgh councillor for 13 years.

Cllr David Poole

is now serving his 3rd term of office on the Parish Council

Cllr Bernard George Walker .

Chair of the Royal British Legion and co founder of Coast Watch at Ingoldmells Point, and has lived in Burgh for 41/2 years
