This
being the first edition of 2006, we wish all our readers a happy and
healthy new year.
With
the dawn of the new calendar year, the Council nears the end of the
Local Government year on 31 st March. This is a busy time for financial
matters, and organising the coming year.
The
Precept
Only
two members of the public attended the meeting which was arranged
to seek views on Council spending, but Councillors once again gave
careful consideration to the amount of money required to meet commitments
in 2006/2007, and the effect of spending on resident's Council Tax,
and agreed a sum which represents a £1.36 per year increase
for a Band D property.
