Cllr Cecil Smith and mayoress June Smith held their Civic Service on Sunday 22 nd April.

The civic occasion was honoured by ELDC chairman, Cllr. Dr. Laurence Taffinder and his wife, Mrs Marilyn Taffinder, Deputy Chairman ELDC Cllr Mrs Janet Harrison accompanied by her husband and many mayors and cllrs from the surrounding districts as well as our own Burgh cllrs and their wives and invited guests.

Father Terry Steele conducted the church service followed by the Civic Reception at the W.I. Hall.
