with Saucy Sybil

Saucy
Sybil has been a very busy little girl, last Wednesday she did
her usual PAT Dog visit to Burgh Hall, the residents and
staff are always delighted to see her, Sybil also loves when
it is time for elevenses, despite my best efforts she has managed
to sneak one custard cream and one digestive biscuit to date.
Last Thursday saw Sybil at Wainfleet Old People's Home, she
was invited to a birthday party in her role as a PAT Dog, Sybil
joined in enthusiastically and showed great restraint when the
birthday cake was handed out to everyone, however she did bring
a slice home for her Dad! Next Wednesday sees Sybil back
at Burgh Hall again and then it won't be long until the Spring
Fayre at Wainfleet, Sybil also loves to have her photo taken
and to see her with the old folk is pure magic. When they see
Sybil arrive it is lovely, she brings joy and happiness wherever
she goes.

Sybil
is working very hard to take her Good Citizen Award Bronze and
Silver next month, she trains twice a week, does a lot of homework
and on top of her PAT Dog duties. It is a lot for a ‘little
person', when Sybil gets the chance she puts her paws up and
has a well earned rest, I am sure that you dear readers will
all wish Sybil well for her forthcoming exams.

Matty
Yum Yum he is our fawn Pug, he has elected himself the foreman
of the family, he likes to supervise whatever anyone is doing,
he bustles around and sometimes he pokes his little button nose
into what he definitely shouldn't do, Matty too is
beginning training and hopes to become a PAT Dog very soon and
join Sybil on the visits, everyone is looking forward to meeting
him.

Rory
Russell is now one, he celebrated his birthday this week, it
was a rather more subdued affair than had been intended, he
was extremely naughty, quite forgot himself and chewed a hole
in his very expensive bedding, something he didn't do when he
was younger, there were still games and a special birthday tea
all round and treats so all was not lost.
Amber
Russell will be one this month too, she is having a ‘bad hair
day', can't make up her mind what style to have, will it be
smooth and sleek, long and shaggy, somewhere in-between, or
a mixture of everything, at the moment she is favouring
the latter.

Summer
could see the pair of them hurtling around an agility course,
not sure about my husband though, he prefers to move in a more
stately fashion and keeping up with those two is definitely
not for the faint hearted.
The
‘Duchess', Sophie continues to reign supreme, went
for an outing over Easter and thoroughly enjoyed herself,
she looks down her aristocratic nose at everyone. Recent
work in the house saw a slight disruption to her day, that didn't
bode well at all. The ‘Duchess' was definitely not amused! Sophie
keeps everyone including us firmly beneath her paw. Upset the
Duchess, perish the thought.

The other day Matty accidentally bumped into Sybil, who was
most put out, she promptly biffed Matty who in turn gave
Sophie a thump, the room went silent, no one would dare upset
Sophie, who in turn put her paw on Matty and looked at him as
if to say ‘don't even think of doing that again',
Before
we go for now, just want to mention that Matty Yum, Yum, has
also reminded me that he also celebrated his birthday,
he certainly did it in style, went shopping for his present
along with Sybil, he can certainly shop, he chose a new lead
and collar, a harness for walking, toys, and to top it off he
ordered a very posh coat which duly arrived and I have to say
he looks very dapper. Mind you getting a coat to fit his somewhat
unusual figure was no easy task, Pugs are very sensitive about
their figures, mind you there is nothing more huggable than
a Pug, we at ‘Haven Lea' think that there should be a ‘Hug A
Pug Day', on that note I had better sign off for now and wake
the slumbering Crew, time for a roll call in the garden.
back soon with more news from
'TheCrew'.
