2006 Christmas from Haven Lea Crew

Dear Readers,

Seems a while since we were last with you, it has been a busy time for one and all here at ‘Haven Lea'. Devastating news last month with the death of dear Desert Orchid, he was and continues to be my strength and inspiration, I have so many memories of wonderful times spent with him and his owner who continues to be very special to us, he came into my life and captured my heart forever, his spirit will always be with me, Dessie is now running free in heavens pastures where age is simply a myth, God Bless and 'Happy Christmas'.

The 'Crew' have been busy helping to wrap Christmas gifts, lending an ever helpful paw, sellotape has become stuck fast to the oddest places of their person, glitter twinkling on glossy coats, a combined effort and presents are safely wrapped and cards written, the 'Crew' adding their own signature. All are now eagerly awaiting the opening of their presents, efforts to be very good are slipping somewhat, Rory Russell was caught actually stealing food from the birds department in the garden and demolished a toy, Amber Russell is trying very hard to be good as is Sophie and Sybil while Miss Tizzy is as grumpy as ever, ba humbug

Sybil is eagerly awaiting her Christmas Party with her training classes, fancy dress, all will be revealed next time. We are very proud of Sybil as she has just been accepted as a PAT Dog, that is Pets As Therapy, she can now go and visit folk in Homes, Hospitals, etc. and is looking forward to starting in the New Year, she has certainly had an eventful first year which just leaves me the news about her first birthday last month, a great day was had by one and all, she received cards, gifts, there were balloons put up, games and to round off the day a special birthday tea all round with treats, Sybil's favourite gift is a sparkly collar just like her Grandma Lily Pug's, to wear on special occasions, photos follow soon, in the meantime we wish all readers 'A Very Happy Christmas' and look forward to being with you again in the New Year.  Love from Sandra
