The Recreation Centre held an open day on Saturday 12 th November to display the proposed plans for its re-development and featured exhibition stands by the various users of the Recreation Centre, including Burgh Byones – Museum, The Handbell group, The Library, The Church of St Peter & St Paul, The Guides, and The Playgroup.

The Burgh-Le-Marsh Recreation Centre Working Party would like to thank all organisations who helped at the Open Day on 12 th November and all the members of the public who visited the exhibition and showed their support.

The Open Day was a great success with estimated over 300 people visiting. We received a very positive response for supporting the proposed new plans including the importance of the conservation of the building, possible uses for the multi-user room, extended children's childcare and the development of a new community tea room. We are taking on board the suggestions for possible uses for the new multi-user room and it is hoped to incorporate as many of these into the project.
