A public meeting was held in the village hall on Saturday 15 th September at 10.00a.m. to inform residents of the proposed Burgh Town Plan which would be formulated by the residents themselves. In order to facilitate this a Town Plan Steering committee would need to be set up and Chairman, Cllr John Panton, Cllr. Neil Cooper and Janet Clark from Community Lincs explained how it would work.

A slide presentation illustrated work in progress of other towns already involved . Grants are available to finance town projects for which the steering committee would be able to apply.

 

Everybody's views on town improvements etc are required and questionnaires will be issued to get an overview from which developments can be put in place. We are being asked what we want and this is our opportunity to get what we want.

 

The meeting was very well attended and further reports will be published as progress is made.
