Burgh bypass has been under construction for six months now and excellent progress has been made. As well as the usual logistics of road construction there are numerous other considerations to be taken into account, e.g. pedestrian safety, footpaths and bridle paths to provide access, awareness of archaeological artefacts which may be unearthed, maintaining essential services of gas, electricity and water supplies and preserving animal habitats. Badger and owl habitats have been encountered and fencing has been erected accordingly.
