builders who discovered the signed floorboard.

Renovation work has now commenced on the Recreation Centre and Mr Ian Fletcher and Mr Mark Boddy discovered a floor board which was laid in 1954 by builder, J. Dixon then aged 49 and H. Kime, local undertaker, aged 50 who had both signed the floorboard with the date and their ages with their intention of it being discovered in the future.

 

I am pleased to be part of this discovery and to publish this article on our website which these men had no conception that this media would exist and I feel sure that they would be delighted at this result.
