The full day's programme included Centre Arena entertainment, side shows, stalls, fairground, food and drink, an evening disco plus many more attractions.

The Burgh Carnival in 2003 was one-day event, the Burgh Country Show. One of the reasons for this is that the Police will no longer allow processions to travel along main roads. In the past, events were held throughout the Carnival Week, but in 2003, events were staged at intervals throughout the year.
