| Church Tea Shoppe: 4th birthday |
| Burgh Church Tea Shoppe celebrated its 4th birthday on Monday 6th October
and on this annual event presented cheques, of £1000 each, to two
very worthy nominated charities which this year was once again The Air Ambucopter, received by Mike Hardy, and The Lincolnshire Butterfly Trust, received by Dilys Meeson, which is raising funds for a Hospice in Boston and is still a very new project. At the moment there are no hospice beds in Boston, so patients and their families have to travel long distances to Lincoln or Peterborough for hospice care. The tea shoppe is a cosy place to drop in and have a chat, and is fascinating to browse around the shelves packed with numerous ornaments, books, household items as well as home made jams and pickles (on certain occasions) the selection ever changing. |
