The
Caistor & District Male Voice Choir, currently celebrating their
80th Birthday, gave their first performance in Burgh at the Methodist
Chapel on Friday 4 th February.
The
programme opened with a rousing rendition of “When All the Saints
Come Marching In”, “Steal Away”, and “Amen” arrangement in gospel
style, and included

I Survey the Wondrous Cross”
“The
Fishermen of England ”
“Calm
is the Sea”

Linden Lea”
“The
Farmer's Boy”
“The
Rhythm of Life”
And
a selection from “Paint My Wagon”
Mike
Smith and Esther Pearson played a duet “Cheek to Cheek”
Conductor
Ray Wylie also played a selection of Scottish songs on the accordion,
and a topical comedy routine made up this excellent evening's entertainment,
which concluded with a supper and raffle.
