The Caistor Male Voice Choir performed at the Methodist Church on Friday 12 th January, for the third year in succession, as part of the Burgh Forward Group's Cultural programme.

 

Their varied and polished repertoire consisted of

“With a Voice of Singing”

“Speed your Journey”

“Sound an Alarm”

A humorous duet entitled “The Omnibus Song “

The 1960's “Softly as I Leave You”

Esther Peterson, the pianist, sung a solo of “The Rose”

And also played a piano solo piece “A Sprig of Lilac”

 

A selection of hymns which included “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross”

“The Battle Hymn of the Republic”

And “Rhythm of Life” from the film Sweet Charity

 

A delicious and more than ample supper was served to the audience by the members of the Methodist Church and the raffle completed the evening's entertainment.
