The
Louth Male Voice Choir gave an excellent performance with their style
of mellow harmonies enhanced by the acoustics of the venue, the church
of St Peter & St Paul . The varied repertoire included Queens “Bohemian
Rhapsody”, “When All the Saints Came Marching In”, “She”, Gilbert &
Sullivan's “Pirates of Penzance”, “What Shall We Do With the Drunken
Sailor,” a selection of songs from the sixties and many others.
David
Watson gave a solo rendition of “Pick a Pocket or Two” and “I'm Reviewing
the Situation” from “Oliver” a humorous adaptation of “I've got a Little
List” from “The Mikado” and “If I was a Rich Man” from “Fiddler on the
Roof”
The
evening concluded with the Prayer of St Clement, “The Day Thou Gavest,
Lord, has ended.”
