Buddy Holly may have been dead for more than 40 years but he is regularly brought back to life thanks to the talents of Dave Wickenden.

Dave who hails from London was discovered five years ago at a Karaoke night. He was told to learn to play the guitar and speak with an American accent, six months later he emerged as Buddy Holly and has never looked back.

He receives rave reviews wherever he performs and last year had the pleasure and privilege of singing to Buddy Holly's widow Maria Elena Holly who, like everyone who sees him, was impressed with his performance. Anyone can put on a pair of horn rimmed glasses and sing a Buddy Holly number but what sets Dave apart from other tribute Artistes is his meticulous attention to detail. He has not fallen into the trap of adding his own embellishments Dave with Maria Elena Holly but presents himself exactly as Buddy.

With tours of this country and abroad, including a recent months tour of Canada and two CD's under his belt we predict that Dave Wickenden is set to become the same household name as the man he impersonates.
