On Sunday 22nd April in the Burgh le Marsh Group of Parishes, it was announced that Father Terry has been asked by the Bishop of Lincoln to become a Canon and Prebend in the Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lincoln.

  Father Terry has accepted the invitation and he, along with three other people will be installed in the Cathedral during Evensong at 5.30pm on the feast of St Hugh, 17th November.

  This does not mean that Father Terry will be leaving Burgh, but he will become a member of the College of Canons , be entitled to wear a blue cassock instead of the normal black, and from time to time be invited to preach in the Cathedral.

  It is hoped to organise a coach to go along to the installation, and details will be available nearer the time and also in 'Hexad.'
