<Official Opening of the Wesley Community Room>

Saturday 12 th January 2008 official opening of the Wesley Community Room at Burgh Methodist Church . A full day of celebration starting with a Prayer breakfast at 8.30am the coffee morning 10.00am til 12 and a concert of local talent at 2.30pm followed by the opening ceremony at 3.30pm Speeches were made by Doreen Horne, Rev Lindsey Kemp, Cecil Mundy the area Superintendant, the Mayor, Cllr John Panton, Canon, Father Terry Steele, John Short in the absence of Pastor Colin Bowden, and The Rev David Briggs. Rev David Briggs was the former Burgh Methodist minister who initiated the fund raising for the Wesley Community Room and was invited for the cutting of the ribbon with Ken Seager at each doorway entrance to the Wesley commmunity room. A delicious buffet tea completed the day's celebrations.
